The 11th European Workshop of Structural Health Monitoring (EWSHM2024) took place in Potsdam from June 10-13, 2024. With 8 parallel sessions, the conference was excellently organized and attended. In this context, the work of the network led by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Inka Mueller was presented to a broad specialist audience. The special session on “Reliability and Quality Assessment in SHM” initiated by network members Vittorio Memmolo and Inka Mueller was so well received that both sessions were extremely well attended during the course of Tuesday afternoon, with a number of people having to stand in between.
With three of the network’s own contributions and a poster summarizing the results of the past four years, the presence of the participating scientists was very high. Existing contacts were cultivated in interesting discussions and new contacts were made for potential further collaboration.
One of the contributions, presented by PhD student Anastasiia Volovikova from KIT, was also selected as one of the best 11 student papers for publication in a special issue on ndt.net. A jury will then select the best student paper of the EWSHM2024 from these publications.
